Snack Bar Label issue
« on: July 01, 2013, 12:47:13 PM »
Just bought a sugar free snack bar but I'm confused about the label.  This is what the label states:

0 Sugars
24 carbs
1 Fiber
12 Sugar Alcohols
and my confusion comes with this ... 10 "Other Carbs"?????

Can someone help me decipher this label?

Thanks

The other 11 carbs is probably from the flours and all the stuff that's inthe ingredients

Jo is exactly right    :)  Just because something says sugar free doesn't mean it is carb free.  Personally I would avoid that snack bar for sure....way to many carbs for me to waste on just a snack  ;)

Hi, chimes81! :)

To calculate net carbs on nutrition labels, use this formula:

Net Carbs = Total Carbs - Fiber - Sugar Alcohols
