I like that answer Umpa.   ;D  I will have to do that. I will have to find the recipe for the wasabi coleslaw.

Hi, Pam! :)

With that coleslaw, replacing the rib eye with a lobster tail would REALLY get his attention,
ESPECIALLY if you have lots of melted butter to dip it in! ;D ;D ;D

That's a good idea, Tony but I don't like lobster. He got used to eating it when he was  in Afghanistan last year. The ribeye would get him, he loves steak. He's a steak and potato man.

Hi, Pam! :)

Then by all means, use what works! ;)

I assume your husband is in the military.
If so, please thank your husband from me for his service!

Tony,
No my husband isn't in the military, he works for the Corp of Engineers. He was sent to Afghanistan to help oversee the rebuliding of their country. Our son however was in for 10 years until he had a seizure and was diagnosed with MS. He has been discharged for almost 2 years now.

Pamsway,

I certainly understand not being able to do a clean sweep on the carbs with other people in the house.  My wife and kids support me, but don't eat my way (or not that they know of, since I do the majority of cooking).

I have read this suggestion a number of times on this forum: designate a cabinet in your kitchen as yours and make sure it is stocked with FTS friendly ingredients.  Include whatever SF snacks you choose to include in your plan.  Then, when the urge for something sweet hits, go to your cabinet.  Just make sure not to raid theirs.  You could also do it the other way.  Make the entire kitchen carb/sugar free and give the carb eaters a cabinet or two to keep their junk food in.

I agree great advice!!  Love the new profile pic Mark!   :)    Pam It gets easier to ignore the carby stuff the further you get into detox.  My Hubs has a special place for his snacks that I don't even have to look at.  Can't believe he made me buy him a box of Ho Ho's the other day   :o :o :o :o  All I could think was how much sugar I had in my shopping cart!!  Haha   ;D ;D  Thankfully I got out of the experience unscathed  ;) ;)

I just watched that video of Jimmy. Its all new learning to me. I thought avoiding fats would be good diet.
As what I understand in the video, its okay to eat fats and protein but less carbo. Am I understand right?
What about apple? It is complex carbohydrates.

Have you read the Fat to Skinny Book? You have to stay under 20 carbs a day to lose weight ;) We dont remove items from your diet we replace them. That way there are no foods to add back in to make you gain the weight back.Cycle broken ;)
