Delicious Low Carb French Toast

Don't you love frech toast, I do! Here's another great recipe from the FAT TO SKINNY Sugar Free Bakery Book available here- http://www.shop.fattoskinny.com

Delicious Low Carb French Toast




Ingredients

   1 tablespoon baking powder
   2 tablespoons cinnamon
   6 drops FAT TO SKINNY ZERO sweetener
   ¼ teaspoon salt
   ¾ cup soy protein powder
   1/8th cup egg whites
   3 beaten eggs
   1/8th cup water
   ¼ cup heavy cream
   1 teaspoon vanilla extract
   1 teaspoon nutmeg
   3 tablespoons oil

Directions

1.   Preheat oven to 400.
2.   Coat loaf pan with non-stick spray (Pam).
3.   In first mixing bowl add baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ZERO, salt and protein powder.
4.   Mix well.
5.   Add 3 eggs, 1/8th cup water, ¼ cup heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and oil to dry ingredients.
6.   In second bowl beat egg whites till stiff.
7.   Fold egg whites into bowl #1 and mix gently
8.   Pour into loaf pan and cook for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
9.   Cool to room temperature and slice into large slices and make into French toast. (Recipe Below)

Ahhh, French Toast, I haven't had those in eons.  Good old fashioned comfort food.  Maybe I can whip some up over the next few weeks or so. :)

Wow I have all those ingredients, but alas, my oven is out. Time to get creative in my counter appliances.

Hi, Stephanie! :)

I buy protein powder at Costco.
But sometimes, I'll buy it online if I find a good deal.

There are many online resources for it.
When I buy online, I usually buy a larger quantity, divide it in freezer bags, and freeze so it doesn't go stale.
