Skychants mealplan...Thanksgiving week detox
« on: November 24, 2013, 05:58:06 PM »
I got up early this morning and made a big omlette with two eggs, three slices of ham and a half a cup each of red bell pepper and onion.  I also put a slice of Kraft deli cheese and a sprinkle of parmesan on it.  That took up 10 carbs.  I also drank a Sams Choice caffeine free diet soda.  For lunch I had philly steak on a la tortilla with some sprinkle cheese and a cup of decaf coffee.  This was 5 carbs. For a snack I ate a tin of kippers and for supper I ate a can of Chicken Vienna sausage and a cup of pomegranate green tea sweetened with FTS zero.  15 carbs for the day and I have also been drinking alot of water.  I have been very hungry today.  I do admit that it feel great to be taking control of my health for a change instead of being a sugar fiend.  I am eager to get on the scale in the morning and see the results.

I agree with Umpa Skychant.  10 net carbs right off the bat is a bit much.   You can always spend your carbs how you want, but it doesn't give you much wiggle room for the rest of the day.   What you are really going for with those items is just the flavor.  You can accomplish that with even 1/4 cup all together rather than each.  I bet you wont notice that much of a difference.  You did great at 15 net carbs for the day but like you said you felt hungry.  Throw the breakfast, lunch and dinner routine out the window and find your own true hunger schedule ;)  What helped me through detox and the "hungries" (or at least I thought they were "hungries" but really were just habits) was to have lots of 0 carb items around me ready to grab.   Of course it's not great to over do the 0 carb items as a rule....but to get through detox it's a big help.  You might want to try to up your protein and fat intake......Also 0 carb broth is great too.  It helps to replenish the sodium that we are used to consuming with all the processed foods.  Hang in there you are going to do great!!    :D

I got on the scale this morning and was happy to see that I lost 5 pounds my first day.  For breakfast this morning I ate turkey sausage and eggs scrambled together...5 carbs, I drank a Sams diet caffeine free soda.  I drank a cup of coffee that was decaf...1 carb.  For lunch I ate a boca burger wrapped in a la tortilla with mustard and deli cheese and a dill pickle slice...5 carbs.  For a snack I had some squash casserole I found in the freezer...I guess that was around 6 carbs.  For supper I ate sirloin steak that was grilled...0 carbs.  I drank a cup of sugar cookie sleigh ride tea sweetened with FTS zero.  I also ate 2 pieces of Werthers sugar-free candy.  I drink lots of water.  I haven't been as hungry today.  After the loss I had this morning I will be suprised if I lose in the morning...can't wait to see.

Looks great!!!   :) :)  Congratulations on those 5 lbs gone again   ;D  Keep in mind as you weigh yourself everyday that it is normal to fluctuate from day to day.   ;)

Hi, skychant! :)

If you remember your first encounter with sugar detox, you should recall feelings of
being hungry when you've eaten plenty and should not be hungry.
These feelings are cravings and are quite normal during detox.

Stick with it!... In time, your body will adjust to your low carb regimen! :) :) :)

I got on the scale this morning and was thrilled to see that I lost 2 more pounds on my second day.  Today I was not as hungry...detox will be a piece of cake ( lo carb cake).  This is what I ate today:  I had squash casserole from the freezer and a can of chicken vienna sausage...7 carbs.  I ate a boca burger with a slice of deli cheese wrapped in a la tortilla with mustard and a dill pickle slice...5 carbs.  I also had a huge hamburger steak seasoned with worchestershire sauce and Mrs. Dash steak seasoning with a slice of deli cheese melted on top...0 carbs.  To drink today I had a crystal lite tea with lemon, a cup of decaf coffee...1 carb and plenty of water.  I am just so excited to see that the fat is melting away.  If I lose again in the morning I will be amazed.

I am maintaining my 7 pound weight loss. This is what I have eaten today:  a la tortilla with mustard, ham, deli cheese and a dill pickle slice...4 carbs.  I also ate a tin of sardine fillets...0 carbs.  I ate smoked sausage that I cooked with red, yellow and green bell peppers...4 carbs. I ate a GG Bran Crispbread with cream cheese that I mixed with one packet of sweetnlow and some cinnamon, the cream cheese was lowfat...4 carbs.  To drink today I have had a Crystal Lite tea with lemon and plenty of water.  I would love it if I lost another pound in the morning....We'll see.

Hi, skychant! :)

You're doing wonderfully! :) :) :)

Since you're weighing yourself every day, on your FTS journey, expect the scale to stop and even go up a little once in a while.

This is completely normal during weight loss!!!... Do NOT let it bother you!!!
Just stay the course, and you will arrive at your goal.

Also, since part of weight loss is size loss, be sure to measure yourself.
Very often, when the scale stops, we're still shrinking.

I got on the scale and was delighted to see that I have lost 10 pounds the week of Thanksgiving.  I could have easily gained 10 pounds if it were'nt for FTS.  This is what I ate on Friday:  I had two deviled eggs...2 carbs.  I had 2 slices of ham and a slice of cheese wrapped around a dill pickle slice and some pig skins and a serving of a jello ring I found in the deli at Food Lion...1 carb. I ate 2 deviled eggs...2 carbs. I had smoked sausage and peppers...2 carbs.  I also had 4 cubes of colby-monterey jack cheese...0 carbs.  To drink I had 2 glasses of diet pepsi and plenty of water.
This is what I ate on Saturday:  I ate a one minute muffin that I sliced in half and put a piece of turkey sausage in...2 carbs.  I ate 2 slices of ham and a slice of cheese wrapped around a dill pickle slice...1carb.  I ate chicken salad that I made with sugar free pickle relish on pig skins...1 carb.  I ate 6 Reeses sugar free peanut butter cups...1 carb.  I ate 1/2 cup of mozzerella melted on turkey pepperoni in the microwave for 1 min...2 carbs.  I had two teaspoons of pinto beans and a teaspoon of potato soup.  I drank two glasses of diet pepsi and plenty of water.

Detox was not diffficult for me and I have ate alot of great food during the week.  I hope that this is a help to those who are on the fence deciding if they want to do FTS or not....It can change your life...I lost 10 pounds my first week.
