Make that Ticker and watch the weight go down.  You can do this.  It is so much nicer to lose weight than it is to gain weight.

Hi, eliruthy! :)

Like many of us here, I completely understand the emotion-food-diet-failure cycle.
And I sympathize with how you feel... It's maddening, frustrating, and a vicious cycle.
Like a merry-go-round, when we get tired of the ride, we can choose to just step off.

Like our bodies, we OWN how we feel!
If we choose to feel negative, then we reap negative results.
And choosing to be positive, will bring us joy!

Kudos to you for deciding to follow Doug's advice.
The successes you will have with FTS, will reflect in your attitude toward other things in your life.
Your life will be brighter! :) :) :)

We care about you.
And are right here to help you whenever you need us!

You CAN do this, eliruthy!

Still staying the course! 3.6 down feels like a million to go!  Seems like before I can get 10 down I have a catastrophe and eat my way through it!  Trying hard!!!

Of course you already know this, but you have to have FTS friendly food already prepared so when you are feeling the need to comfort yourself with food you can grab a low carb snack rather than chips.  When you have nothing but junk available, you will not be able to resist eating it.  Being prepared for the cravings is easier than resisting them.  Staying smart is easier than staying strong.  Eventually you will redevelop the habits and staying strong will become easier too.

We are all here with you.

Hi, eliruthy! :)

Congrats on the great start!... 3.6 pounds in such a short time is great! ;D ;D ;D

As you may recall, I was one of the very slowest losers in the FTS family.

But by NOT focusing on what I did not lose, I focused on the fact that everyday,
I was helping my body heal from many years of carb abuse.
Over time, I became much healthier and lost a bunch too! 8)

So adjust your attention and attitude toward improving your health.
The pound loss will follow... They have NO choice! ;)

Eliruthy, you also need to be forgiving of yourself and compassionate to you as if you are dealing with someone who is in need of comfort. Be hard but not harsh to yourself. We're here for you. Like Tony and Doug and everyone else here has said, one meal at a time and preparation.
