Is there any kind of list for this? Or what would be the average carbs in a bun so I could just subtract that out?!

I've been thoroughly enjoying getting Wendy's Baconators with no bun! Just 5 carbs! Their site has great customizable info but others just always include the bun...

Thanks!

I would say the average bun like what you buy in the store is anywhere from 20 - 30 carbs depending on the size.  I have seen some of the larger ones as high as 38 or even 45 carbs though   :o   While I was trying to lose...I tried to stay away from places that don't give a breakdown except for special circumstances when I don't have a choice.  In that case I just get the safest items and count what I would normally.  For instance the hamburger at 0 and then the added ingredients such as pickle, lettuce and tomato....etc   Be aware though...some places use higher carb items such as 2 net carb cheese, sugar added to grilled chicken etc.  It is really best to stick with places that give a good breakdown  ;)

hI jACKIBAR

I've enjoyed a few bunless baconators myself.  A couple of weeks ago I even bought two big macs, scraped everything off on the plate, threw away the buns and added some lettuce to make a salad out of it.

Mary & I met up at Burger King with my brother and  I ordered her a burger and she left bun off. Told cashier afterwards that daughter is on Ketogenic diet, no wheat. They said no problem, just tell them before I order & they'll leave bun off & put in a bowl for her. It did not occur to me to ask ahead, I rarely go out to eat.

Umpa's right, Susie. :)

Every where I go out to eat has been very good about holding or substituting a high carb ingredient for something else.
They want our business (i.e. $$$)! ;)
