« on: February 07, 2014, 11:35:05 PM »
My food budget is $50 a week. I look at ads, buy only the meat that is on sale.

Here is what I bought today at one store-

Frugal shopping for healthy foods at 99¢ Store.
$25 for all
3 large cans tomato paste, no added sugar or salt (tomatoes listed as only ingredient)
2 large cans tomato puree, no added sugar or salt (tomatoes listed as only ingredient)
2 15-ounce cans black olives
3 dozen eggs(not 99¢, but super fresh at $1.79 each)
Bag of 6 red onions
3 green bell peppers (59¢ each)
2 red bell peppers (59¢ each)
1 head cauliflower
2 large zucchinis (99¢ for both)
1 small pineapple
1 pkg crimini mushrooms
1 pkg white mushrooms
1 pkg Watermelon flavor sugar-free gum
(not pictured, also in this amount I got a 2 pk of 6-blade pivot razors and 2 bottles 32 -load laundry soap)

Thanks
Here is more shopping at grocery store. Spent $36
Whole milk Mozzarella, round steak, ground pork sausage, chicken breasts, chicken thighs, red leaf lettuce, head of lettuce, 1 large avocado and sugar-free pancake syrup 1 carb for 1/4 cup! Everything  was on sale, yay!
It adds up quickly to try & stay under $100 for 2 weeks, so I buy what's on sale and only what I know I'll use.
