5 Days and 5 Pounds
« on: February 22, 2014, 12:59:17 PM »
Gone!

It's getting easier each day to know what to eat.  And last night I bought some Russell Stover sugar free chocolates because yesterday I was looking at the candy at work and REALLY REALLY wanted it.  I imagined it as poison (Thanks, Doug!) and the RS candy tasted fine.

Mary & I do too. If you eat a fair share on regular basis, and your weight loss stalls, it may be that. I ate it once in a while & still lost weight, but I always lost slowly, about 2 lbs a week or less.

Hi Susie and Stephanie!  I just got a package of RS Marshmallow and Chocolate, and one piece was plenty (I've never eaten a piece of candy so slowly, but I really wanted to appreciate it).

And Doug! Hi!  I was listening to your cd last night, on my way to dinner with my b/f.  He LOVES to try new places, and although he's 100% supportive with everything, I haven't told anyone I'm on FTS (yet).  I'm doing this for me right now and am a) curious to know when other people start to notice I'm losing weight and b) making sure I don't have anyone try to tell me why this way of eating isn't healthy or the right option.  I can do this!  I'll let people know in due time.

And I'm glad I listened to the cd, for some extra motivation and strength.  I made some great dinner choices without being obvious, and this morning I was down almost another 1/2 pound!

Oh yes, that's the way. Best to have them see results in how you look AND feel first!
BTW, where did you get the package of RS Marshmallow and Chocolate? I'm keeping an eye out for treats for my daughter as incentives to do things like shower and brush her teeth more. If I give her "something she loves", to think about, she remembers it more easily. This isn't always successful, but it helps.
Congrats on the 1/2 lb!

I got them at Wal-Mart.  Russell Stover Sugar Free Marshmallow Covered in Chocolate.  There are lots of other RS candies there, in the regular candy aisle, but there's a whole sugar free section.  It says 3 pieces is a serving, but I'm just going to have 1 at a time.  1 is less than 50 calories and 0 carbs (well, 33 carbs - 32 sugar alcohol - 1 fiber/that's for 3 pieces).  I figure 1 won't hurt me and it makes me feel like I'm treating myself. :)

Thank you for letting me know. I haven't seen that at our Walmart but haven't looked at the RS candies in a while. That's so true, 1 piece is a nice treat.
I've been low carb for over a year now (even before I joined FTS) and I now can taste the sweetness in unsalted raw almonds. I eat 10 for 1 carb. I have a little egg cooker and make hard boiled eggs. Watching my cholesterol, so I make only 1 at a time. Only once in a while, when I need extra protein, do eat them. There are some tasty deviled egg recipes on here too.

Hooray, Sstephanie!!! :) :) :) :) :)

Remember this... Other people won't notice your scale readings.
But they will notice your body shrinkage! ;D

That's why it's important to measure yourself often.
Quarter (or more) inches here and there will fall off often when the scale is stopped.
