Battle Number 5000:)
« on: July 13, 2014, 03:16:23 PM »
Hey guys! Not really a battle anymore but the mil is making a flipping sheet cake as we speak:( she knows my 2 kids are diabetic & so is my husband! IT really doesn't tempt me anymore. But she knows I'm trying to loose the weight and that none of us need that in our lives. It just amazes me how she just keeps on trying! Husband says he thinks she does that to keep us all "fat" because she knows she can "throw it up." Sigh...One day (soon! We are trying to build up our credit & are almost there!:) we will have our own house & we will be able to cook our own meals:) thanks for listening guys:)

@Morgan; since she had the lap ban done yes. Not anorexic skinny but skinny. & she's just stubborn! She will not change for us at all! But like Doug said I can't make her change but I can! And I lost another pound today! *insert happy dance here!" & trust me! Even if I just loose one pound, I make sure I let her know! Lol... I haven't had any sugar (trust me! I'm watching what I eat & why I'm eating like a hawk!:) in two weeks! & the weight is coming off like crazy! I went from 208 to 202 in two weeks!:)

Hi, Stephanie.

I get the distinct feeling that you MIL is a toxic personality type.
That type of person gets perverse pleasure out of sabotaging the joy, health, etc. of others.

You and your hubby should REALLY consider moving away from her ASAP.
Being tortured because your getting healthy is just not right.

You're in my prayers.

@Tony; you cannot be more right & not just in the food department. It's her personality. But I'm a fighter. I've had to deal with many life issues (as we all have) the worst being my mom passing away in 2012. And I never thought I would be able to handle that. Yes there are some days when I really want to pull my hair out:) but I have learned that in God's will all things are possible. Thank yall:) for your support, it means alot!

Umpa's right, Stephanie! :)

With your husband on board, your "battle" with your MIL will be much easier.
There is power in numbers.
You can (and should) lean on each other for support. That's healthy for any happy marriage.

And you're so right... With God, ALL things are possible.
So stay in prayer. In spirit, I will be praying right along side you.
