Food is NOT an Issue - this is what I tell myself. So many times we concentrate so much on what we should and shouldn't eat, we just lose all perspective. We get so involved in weights and numbers we forget the enjoyment of eating. And, let's face it, that is what got us here.
With all the wonderful recipes here, we can enjoy our food and it can be good for us. We all get the hang of Doug's 'vision' eventually, we all know what we basically can and can't eat. Proteins & Greens GOOD. Sugar & Carbs BAD.
I remember in my younger dieting days, eating stuff I really didn't like, because (supposedly) it was good for me. All those diet yogurts oh my! The dry cracker biscuits - bleah! Now if I don't like it, I just won't eat it. Beans may be green and good for you, but all the same I will give them a miss.
So I am trying to eat well and as sugarfee as I can make it, but also not making an issue out of eating low carb.
I don't know if I've explained it well - does it sound a bit convoluted?
Maybe it just boils down to DON'T OVERTHINK IT.
ps - the scales have to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
