The Difference Between This WOE and Atkins
« on: July 04, 2010, 05:10:35 PM »
Hi Doug,
I've been following Atkins for the past month.  Been pretty much staying on induction by keeping carbs to 20 and getting in my veggie carbs.  After four weeks, I had lost 18 lbs, but gained back 5 last week.  I obviously did something wrong, but don't know what.  Can you tell me the difference between Atkins and FTS?
Thanks...Kathy

Hi Kathy! i am dougs wife.Doug is in San Franscisco doing his book tour. The biggest difference here is we focus on sugar and replacements. We replace all of your favorite foods we don't take them away. This is a lifestyle change not a diet.We totally detox your body from sugar.Atkins is very limited, although similar. The problem with diets is when you go back to your old way of eating you put the weight back on and your blood sugar goes through the roof! If you just learn to replace your favorite foods with healthy alternatives you won't go on the weight loss rollercoaster.Doug will be checking in on the forum and I am sure he can answer this question better I just didn't want you to have to wait on a answer. My name is umpa i have a column here on the homepage called ask umpa  where I teach you to convert your favorite recipes to fat to skinny friendly. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.Welcome to the Forum!
