Starting over again
« on: September 12, 2015, 06:02:30 PM »
Hello all

Well no matter how many times I start I always come back to this site....I just manage not to stick with a diet very long...
I just started a low calorie diet on 8/31/15 at 323 lbs and as today 9/12/15.. I weight 320 lbs... I feel I can do better with low carb but just have to stick with it..so I will be changing over first thing in the morning. Now I am going to dust off the book to review and look at the forum for tips... I like to keep the meals basic like eggs, chicken etc...

Joe

I had the lapband back in 2005 weight 323 lbs got down to 267 lbs Now I regained all my weight.. my mini goal is 299 by Dec 31,2015.

Welcome home, Joe!!! :) :) :) :) :)

You've known that calorie diets don't work.
And you just spent 2 weeks proving that again.

Now is the time, get back on track and COMMIT to succeed.
After a couple weeks, cravings will subside and it will be easier to stay the course.

So take it one day at a time, and one meal at a time, even one moment at a time, when needed.

You CAN do this if you want it enough.
And we'll do what we can to help you.

Tony
What you do today is what matters!

I started out not sticking to it but told myself to not give up over and over. Now I'm glad I did that. You are really making the best choice by coming back. Get excited about the delicious foods you can eat. That really helps.

I was 320 at my highest.  I was told to get lap band but I hate going under the knife.  I have lost 25 pounds but am struggling to maintain due to a death in the family.  FTS really works and improves your health and longevity.  I am so glad that you dusted off that book! :)

Shakes can be made lowest in carbs by using extracts, a fruit(berries), lots of heavy whipping cream, coconut milk, etc.... and of course Zero Sweet!!

Happy Birthday Big Joe!  My nephew has his 18th birthday today as well...his favorite foods, chicken alfredo...mac and cheese...he loves to go to Olive Garden.  He is a big fan of carbs.  I have been eating apple dapple cake a neighbor brought by....I have maintained, lots of coffee.
