Our ebt card gets has $160 a month on it. That's $40 to feed both of us per week. We have two local Certified farmer's markets on Saturday and one every Thursday night. They cost more than what I pay at 99c store or Mexican market, but last much longer. I buy organic at a large nutrition store, only what is on sale. Then can get a few things that are a good deal at farmers market.

Here is a list of lowest and highest contaminated produce-

CLEAN FIFTEEEN

Avocados
Sweet Corn*
Pineapples
Cabbage
Sweet peas frozen
Onions
Asparagus
Mangos
Papayas*
Kiwi
Eggplant
Honeydew Melon

* A small amount of sweet corn, papaya
and summer squash sold in the United States is produced
from Genetically Engineered seed stock.
Buy organic varieties of these crops
if you want to avoid Genetically Engineered produce.
