Finally!

I finally hit the minus 20 pounds mark today! Praise the Lord. This week, I have done much better. My doctor switched me from Actoplus Met to just Glucophage. I haven't had any snacks between meals. I think the medicine has helped to curb my appetite, which is okay by me. I just didn't want food except at meals.

Now, only 80 more to go! LOL

Congratulations!!! 20 pounds of FAT gone forever :) What does 20 pounds of FAT feel like on your body? You've heard me say it before, it's a great reminder. Next time you're in the store find a 20 pound turkey and carry it around for five minutes  ;)  You've done your body a great favor by losing this weight and I'm proud of you!

I am so happy and proud of you!  You are headed in the right direction!  Just take it a day at a time and eventually the results will come!  I am in week 6 and have lost only 1-2  pounds but I know I am losing inches.   I really want to see results on the scales too!  Make it a great day!  We are cheering for you!  With God's help and strength we will cross the skinny finish line !!!  To God be the glory!!!

OK Susie, somthing is going on with you.Week #6, only 1-2 pounds gone??? did I read that right? If so we need to take a closer look at your menu.

Hey Doug,  I am a hormonal woman -- and I am losing like a turtle!  I am losing inches based on my clothes. I will be 59 on August 14th.  The first few weeks I probably ate too many Russell Stover candies even though I ate healthy and kept the carbs under 20.  Today's menu:
July 12th  Breakfast: 40% less bacon cooked in microwave with paper towels to soak up grease, 2 boiled eggs without yolk and 8 oz. unsweetened almond milk with Hershey syrup, 1 cup black coffee.  Water on way to work.
Lunch: 3-4 oz. grilled chicken, 1 cup strawberries, olives, 1/2 green bell pepper, about 1/2 tomatoes.  I ususally drink 8 glasses of water a day.
I had lost 25 pounds before starting this program over the course of a 1 1/2 years and kept it off.  I play in our pool for exercise.  Otherwise, I try to walk on a treadmill minimum of 30 minutes.  I only have 10-15 pounds to reach my goal.  I'm stuck right now.  Any advice?  Thanks!

Looks like you're heading the right direction. If you want to break your plateau quicker lose the tomato and strawberries. Forcing your body into ketosis by eliminating every carb you can will get you back on a roll....or should I say get the roll off  ;)

Doug, in your opinion, how low on the carb counting do I need to go before I see some pounds coming off?  I usually use most of my 20 carbs per day.  I can manage on less (if necessary) to see some rewarding results!  A friend at work told me just this morning that she can tell I am losing weight.  Again, I know some inches are coming off (praise God)!
