Ok now that's something I haven't heard much about - alcoholic drinks - just stay away - that's the best?

Sugar alcohol and Alcoholic drinks are two completely different things.  Go to the home page and scroll down to the general questions box.  The second item, "Booze, where does that fit in?" will answer your questions..............

Got it, thanks!

Well that's a relief for a Whiskey and Ginger Ale drinker...(diet ginger ale of course!)

toddy:) no one here is going to condone drinking alcohol on this "lifestyle change" but i have to say, that if you stick to your guns, & plan your meals..... & your week.... you can still drink occasionally & succeed!!!!! I'm just saying:) i have been zoned in,lost weight bigtime,& still had nites on the town:)>>> but you have to plan for it in advance.......and also plan for it after the fact:).....that's 1 instance where exercise plays a big role:)

OMG Katary - only since April and you've lost 72 lbs?

Wow, that's just amazing.

And has anyone told you today that you are ripped?   lol

Well Katary, you are looking soooo ripped!  Feel better?

Yeah, I think you hit on a winner there - kids can be very harsh, especially about meals they get served, despite all the effort you have put into it at times!  :'(

Thanks for the tips, I'm not going to be indulging a lot and don't have too many nights on the town anyway, but I do like to have the occasional whisky and dry ginger ale after a long hard week at work and on the weekends.

I like the odd caesar too, but I had a look at the carbs....um don't think I'll be drinking them anymore in my new lifestyle.  Any comments re caesar's made with Motts Clamato?

I can't stay away.  I have to read whenever I can to see what great new things everyone comes up with.  I haven't weighed in a week, but my total loss so far is 8 lbs, so approximately 1 lb per week of being on the program..the good thing is I haven't had to kill myself with exercise like I normally do to lose weight.  Just pilates a couple of times a week and 2 or 3 30 minute sessions on the elliptical.  Doug is like a brand new person.  So upbeat and pleasant to be around now.  Still hasn't been able to pass the eye test to get his driver's license, but sees improvement each day.  Beef jerky turned out to be very good and loved the flavor.  Next time I will use london broil instead of flank steak and slice it more thinly.

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2
