I read today about the amazing health benfits of coconut oil. I was wondering if anyone on the discussion board has been using coconut oil.

Umpa incorporates allot of unsweetened coconut into some of her baking and desert recipes....great stuff :)

What about coconut OIL, though? If you google it, you will find that it has a lot of varying health benefits. I was just wondering if it's hype or real?

What I've read stated that you can use it for cooking or you can take it by mouth like a supplement. So far, I have used a teaspoon and taken it before my meals. You have to start easy with it or it has a moooooooooooooving effect........

Well that is a first!

By the way, I drove to Atlanta to pick up my friend at the airport. I stopped in a Barnes and Noble and made sure that Doug's book was turned so that the front cover would easily be seen!

A family member has just started using Efagold Extra Virgin Coconut oil for sinus issues.  I did a search on Amazon and read some of the reviews from users and the benefit from the coconut oil sound amazing.  Hubby and I have started using daily (about 1 teaspoon) this week.  We used it on top of our OMM this morning and it was great.  Nice flavor and melts great.

Curious if anyone else is using this in their daily diet and any benefits they have experienced?
