This the best flour-less chocolate mug cake-try it

1 egg, beaten well

1/2 tsp. vanilla
...
1 Tbs. heavy cream or half/half or CC milk

2 Tbs. cocoa

5 tsp. of xylitol or 10pk Splenda

1 tsp. baking powder

1 Tbs. softened butter

In a small bowl, beat egg with fork and add in the rest of the ingredients-pour into 8 oz mug and Microwave for one minute

top with homemade whipped cream ;0

I made this tonight and it was awesome.  I wanted something like chocolate cake and this certainly did the trick.  The first time I tried I didn't have a tall enough mug and ended up with a big mess on the bottom tray in my microwave.  This time I used my 2 cup Pyrex measuring cup and microwaved it for 1 1/2 minutes and it turned out great.  Topped with a little ReddiWhip.  Mmmmmmmmmm good.............and no guilt!!

I made this last night, and it was AMAZING!!!  When it was done, I put a few chopped walnuts on top.  Also, I found that Land of Lakes makes a "redi whip" with no sugar!  I piled it high, and it was totally delicious.  I am not missing the sugar at all!!   Wow!!!

Today is my daughter's birthday and she expects a cake.  I am the only one in my household with weight and food issues.  They are able to eat one small piece and be satisfied.  Previously they would eat their one small piece and I would eat the rest of it (not in one sitting, but they never feel the need to have a second piece).  So I have decided to make individual Flourl-less Chocolate Mug Cakes for us.  Everyone likes chocolate & Reddi Whip, so we can all have our one serving, there will be no leftovers, and no guilt.  I'll let you know tomorrow what they thought of this idea.

Well the individual Flourless Chocolate Mug Cakes were a hit.  My thin daughter only ate 1/2, that was enough for her (she got a candle on hers).  Her boyfriend ate the whole thing and thought it was very good.  My thin husband rarely eats dessert and didn't want any.  My son was not home for dinner and said he would eat his tonight (he didn't feel the need to eat it as soon as he got home).  I enjoyed mine without guilt, so it worked out well.  If I had gone out and bought a DQ ice cream cake like my daughter usually requests, I would have 3/4 of a cake leftover in the freezer, and now that I am no longer the family garbage disposal, it would have been thrown out.

That is so awesome and a great idea!  I'm so happy that it has been a great hit as I just love it! :)  I found the Land O Lakes once but can't find it anymore and can't remember where I found it. lol
Peace and blessings,

I wish we had one here in Richmond, VA.  I hear they have great deals.  I will keep  searching but I usually just make my own with heavy whipping cream and xylitol and it tastes much better.  It's just he convenience of the can that is nice when I don't have time or don't feel like making some.  lol
Peace and blessings,

I'm confused about the carb count in this. How much is it?

Also, can you use SF syrups in replace of the sweetener?

I would say 1 carb for the egg and 2 carbs for the unsweetened cocoa if you use the xylitol instead of splenda and stick with the heavy cream that's it :) YES you can use sugar free syrups to replace sweeteners but remember o make allowance for the extra liquid.
