jicama mashed potatoes

Can you and if so how ? I would think just boil them & mash up . Do they have any carbs hopefully a big zero

I will Doug . Katary how many carbs was that big plate of fries you had ? Was that one whole Jicama? Do you peel it or not ?

5:) oh you definitely have to peel it. i always peel it the day i get it,slice it,& store it in an air tight container in the fridge...and then its always there when i want it.... Ive kept it for over 2 weeks without it going bad... it has many uses, but i usually use it for fries,hashbrowns, or in soups:) Donna made jicama chips with it!!!!! the key is to for sure boil it first,then when you fry it make sure you do it long enough for it to get crispy all the way through:) you tell Tyler that the pork rind pizza crust taste "nothing" like pork rinds, my daughter Katie hates pork rinds.... but loves the pizza & breads:)

ps... no it wasnt a whole one,it was about 1/4 of one... some of them are huge,like a pumpkin size:)

You don't have to boil it first for the chips, but you do need to slice them very thin. 
I used it for potato salad once, and it was good, but the next day, it was very watery.

Thanks guys I went to publix and they were out so I will have to try them next week . But I did find the noodles so I am going to try those I hope I like them . I think I am going to do what you did owensmith cut it up like rice & of course the chicken Parmesan.

make sure  you rinse them really well and pat them dry  ;)
