Hi everyone,
Just completed my first week.  Am doing fine, lost 4 lbs (haven't measured inch loss yet), but feeling my clothes aren't quite so snug.
Problem is, I am suffering some terrible, terrible stomach issues and headaches, fever, diahorrea etc. I feel like complete garbage (both yesterday and today).
Is this normal?
I'm hoping its just detox, and hoping even more that it won't last much longer!

No Gary, only the occasional sugar-free gum.

I am the opposite to gonnagetthere, I have no interest in food at all!

Thanks Umpa and Gary, I just wanted to make sure it was the detox.  I've put so much bad stuff into my body for the last 47 years, I guess its natural and my body is just adjusting.

I've got some spinach bread in the oven Umpa......I had to change a couple of things, so I'm now not sure on the total carbs, but it sure smells good!

Linda
PS, I've lost a couple of inches too, that makes me happy!

Hi Linda, please keep me up to date on how you're feeling. We had a member a couple weeks ago Suzanne who was going through some similar issues. For her it had lasted a week and I was concerned she had picked up salmonella poisoning from poultry. Sugar withdrawals can be strong for some folks...they were for me and they differ from person to person...keep in touch.

Hi Doug and thanks for your concern.
I felt absolutely awful Sunday and Monday, had a fever and no interest in food (so unusual for me!), and headaches and diahorrea and really awful cramping.
I am feeling much more like myself today (perhaps it was the spinach bread that perked me up a little), however I did also experience some minor shakes on Monday night.
Was very disconcerting, but I am feeling much, much better today.  I guess I can't really complain, that's only a few days suffering after a week of no sugar, and I can see that some others suffer much, much worse.
I love you guys, you have all been so encouraging, thanks so much,
Linda

Hey Linda it was probably just sugar withdrawls I had tried the Atkins before the FTS then feel off . I was not eating as many carbs when I started the FTS last Monday , so I think my body was a little more ready this time . When I stoped the carbs for the Atkins after eating all that junk BOY my body was not happy . I think I had every withdrawl you could have ,carbs/suga thet are  truly like a drug .
PS I love the way Doug says SUGA. :D :D :D
