Im still here!!!

Sorry I havent been around Ive been insanely busy past couple weeks now that Im not in my cast anymore!!! Loads of social and charity events. Shoot me!! Its NOT so hard to stick to the diet at social events its the wine!!! Ive been drinking too much lately that Ive plateaued however 15lbs in month and half Im pretty happy with that!!

The inches are dropping off however. I started at 49-41-49 ... im at 43-36-46 which makes me happy.

So now Ive decided to cut out the wine completely. Trying to cut out alcohol period. Worst that holidays are around the corner.

Bought some ketone urine stripes to make sure Im in and staying in ketosis. I also got the go ahead to get back in the gym. Bike and free weights only until Im more mobile and ankle is more sturdy.

But I really am loving this lifestyle change ... and people have tried to derail me haha but I shall prevail. Its the damn alcohol at social events.

I have been eating less than 3 net carbs a day ... controlling portion sizes and only eating and snacking when really hungry and drinking not 8 8oz of water but close to ... and I weighed myself this morning and I put 1lb back on??

Hey guys

so I have long been a fan of this pasta sauce from Rao's ... which is a famous italian restaurant in NYC. They also sell their sauces online ... however ... I never ever looked at the nutritional information ....

I emailed them and asked for photo of the label on the Rao's Arrabiatta sauce .... and total Carbs 6g dietary fiber 2g total net carbs 4g per 1/2 cup serving.

I promise you this sauce is a bit pricey but is the tastiest sauce you'll ever have!!! beats out restaurant sauces easily. Anyway I thought I'd share.

I figure 4 net carbs for some super delicious pasta sauce isnt bad at all

I would email them for nutritional information on their other sauces if interested.... which I have tried and are yummy as well ... also my vegan friends will eat this sauce and love it.

what time of day is best to weigh in? first thing in morning? night?

because I have a 3lb difference it seems ... you cant lose 3lbs in one day can you? :S

So I have loads of events coming up in Oct that include drinking .... and I love beer ... not sure if you have the brand PC Presidents Choice in the States but in Canada we do and they have a 2.5 low carb beer here ... its not the tastiest of all beers but it does the job and is a low carb alternative for those interested

so end of first day and Im already craving high carb products in worst way ... not joking I dont ever think about bread, chips etc outside of eating them but I am constantly thinking about all of them after dinner ... is it common to have withdrawals and this soon? or is my mind just trying to sabotage me ... and if anyone else has experienced this ... does it go away after few days? Im literally getting a headache from it.

Hi Everyone

I picked up all of the Fat to Skinny books and Im excited to start!!

I did a weigh in with my cast (broken ankle) of 228lbs ... but Im still starting ... I go to doctors to get weighed without cast this week so I'll use that as my proper weight

Im so excited about this!! My weight has fluctuated my entire life with being 240 in highschool to 130 college/mid 20s ... and I like Doug attributed my weight loss to just being so busy w work in my early 20s and always on the go .... then I moved home and ballooned ... really hoping this way of eating works for me.

I'll try and take some before pictures and post ... and after pics. Ive bought a goal dress already and this weekend am going to go through house and toss all that sugar!

Ive been keeping a diary of what Ive been eating up until now on daily basis ... then converted to sugar .... I wanted to vomit. I can't even look at most of the foods Ive loved now without getting a bit of a stomach toss.

My goal weight is 140. Im going to do it!! Look forward to sharing stories and successes with everyone here!

Hi everyone!!

I just bought ALL of Dougs books after seeing my gf have success with the program! My question is ....

I know Im reading labels for the TOTAL CARBS ... but net carbs. I know I read it somewhere but it didnt stick

reason I ask is  ... In the product guide Im looking at purchasing some products online

In particular the Low Carb items from Samis Bakery

I see the Lavash Slim Trim has total carbs of 11g but net zero carbs??

Can someone explain this further?

So am I limited in eating these products? Im a bread junkie lol and I cant picture my life without it but I will if I have to!!! Im dedicated to this! Not only bc I have numerous health issues but my mom has diabetes and I want to show her that if I can do it so can she! I also dont want to get diabetes down the road.
