Thanks Tony! The whole water situation is full of irony. I drank tons of water to look good,  look younger, help lose weight, reduce food cravings, feel energized and be healthy but drinking purified water did the complete opposite. Pure Water is the last thing I would of thought that caused my health problems, it's so crazy to me!

Hey Doug and Umpa. I came to conclusion about a week ago when I researched the dangers of purified water and it's harmful symptoms which i had. I had ordered Hinckley Springs Purified Water back in early October 2013 for more convenience but during those 8 months I looked and felt like complete crap! I had swollen eyelids, puffy eyes, dark eye circles, trouble sleeping, swelling in my face, difficulty losing weight, hair loss, fluid retention,  fatigue, headaches, migraines and depression. I couldn't figure out why, I thought I had developed a food allergy but that wasn't the case. But one day last week I went the entire day without drinking any purified water and drunk only milk and the next day my symptoms were all gone and I looked much better. I did so many hours of research on purified water and finally realized it was making me sick.

Purified Water is not something you find in nature, it has all it's minerals removed, it acidifies the body, strips vital minerals from the body and dehydrates the body. It did all this to me, especially since I was drinking way more than 10 cups of the water each day for over 8 months. The water didn't hydrate me well and made me more thirsty.

Hello everyone. I hope you all are doing good. It's good to be back! I've officially eliminated purified water and bottled water from my lifestyle because of health reasons and how it was making my body highly acidic. I advise anyone drinking purified water to stop and do your research as it strips minerals from the body and does many other harmful things. Plus the spring water in my local neighborhood was making me real sick from arsenic poisoning and other contaminants. From now on I will be drinking filtered tap water. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best water filter or any other recommendations?

Hey Umpa missed you all too. I have to look really hard for a pic of me fat because I didn't like taking pictures being obese at all or if I did I would tear them up because I hated how I looked.

Eliminate salt and processed foods like salad dressings, processed meats and dairy. And also do weight lifting to sustain muscle mass while losing weight on a low carb lifestyle and stay active. It really worked for me to eliminate foods that contain any salt & sugar added in the ingredient like cheeses, sausages and salad dressings and to start weight lifting daily to help burn fat and keep my muscle tone. I highly recommended it for people who have plateaued and are frustrated with their progress. Adding muscle while low carbing was also key for me as I enjoy activities like Pilates and Yoga in an active lifestyle now and heading closer to my weight loss goals.

Track your Salt & Sodium Intake. If it's high cut way back and the weight will melt off! I just realised that I was consuming very high amounts of Sodium, which was keeping me from losing any weight. I was cooking with a ton of salted Butter, Using too much dressing, cheeses, condiments, sauces, gravies & seasonings. I highly recommend cutting sodium from Meals. I lose 10 pounds just last week from making this adjustment. In addition to that I started drinking more water and eating green veggies to help with digestion. And can also be helpful to list what you have been eating the past two weeks.  :)

Thanks Everyone, good to know! :) I love my Steaks, Cheeseburgers, Pork Chops and Sausages so much that I've over indulge with them over the last few months and stall quite a bit. I cut back and lost weight so I'm ready to lose the rest of this stubborn weight for Spring.

General Discussion / Too much Meat
« on: December 10, 2012, 03:49:42 PM »
I have question, can eating too much meat protein or just too much protein in general cause a weight loss plateau or even weight gain on a low carb lifestyle?  Last week I cut back on the my meat intake  and lost 7 pounds. I use to eat large quantities of meat in every single meal and even snack on it in between meals. I know some of the meat I was eating was cured with salt and sugar, so that' my fault. Maybe I need to cut back even more on the steaks and pork chops in my meals. Or maybe some of the meat I was eating had steriods & growth hormones and wasn't natural.
