Fettuccine Alfredo & Greek Salad!
« on: April 09, 2011, 07:33:34 PM »
Hey Umpa! I would like to convert two of my favorite meals into more of the FTS way!
I really miss my Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo from Olive Garden with Extra Alfredo sauce w/ a side of Garlic Bread!

I also Eat Greek Chicken Salad with
3/4 cup of Ranch Dressing
8 Pitted Olives
2/3 cup of Raw Onions
4 Jalapeno Peppers
1 whole Tomato
2/3 cup of cubed Fetta Cheese.
1/4 cup of red and green peppers
Lettuce
1 Chicken Breast sliced and seasoned

I want to know is the Greek Chicken Salad healthy enough for the FTS lifestyle?

** You are easy Michelle! :)
The alfredo is  also easy.It is
shiritaki or miracle noodle fettuccine noodles
2 chicken breasts cubed
Alfredo sauce
INGREDIENTS

1/4 cup salted butter

1 cup zero carb heavy whipping cream

1 clove garlic, crushed (1 net carb)

1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

1 teaspoon coarse cracked black pepper

[1.5 Net Carbs for entire recipe]

 1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium low heat.

2. Sauté garlic for 1 minute

3. Wisk in cream and simmer for 5 minutes.

4. Add cheese and whisk quickly, making sure to melt the cheese completely.

5. Stir in pepper and parsley and serve.
6.Stir in noodles and chicken.

**TIP — Substitute this recipe for any recipe calling for Alfredo sauce. Many recipes call for Bertolli Alfredo sauce from a jar. Although this cuts down on prep time it increases carbs 3 net grams per ¼ cup. Using the above recipe will cut down total net carb count substantially

The romano bread in the bakery book makes excellent garlic bread!

****I have a question on the greek salad I need to know how many servings is in this recipe? Is it a meal for one or a side salad for 4?
