I am happy to report that I survived Thanksgiving and all the yummy sweet potato pie.  I am down 2 more pounds and know I can get through Christmas as well.  I hope that everybody else enjoyed their Thanksgiving meal.

I have noticed that as well morgan.  I went to buy the usual Kraft Deli cheese and it is one carb per slice instead of 0.  I bought some block cheese instead to slice and grate...I think it is just terrible that they change the product like that.

I am maintaining my 7 pound weight loss. This is what I have eaten today:  a la tortilla with mustard, ham, deli cheese and a dill pickle slice...4 carbs.  I also ate a tin of sardine fillets...0 carbs.  I ate smoked sausage that I cooked with red, yellow and green bell peppers...4 carbs. I ate a GG Bran Crispbread with cream cheese that I mixed with one packet of sweetnlow and some cinnamon, the cream cheese was lowfat...4 carbs.  To drink today I have had a Crystal Lite tea with lemon and plenty of water.  I would love it if I lost another pound in the morning....We'll see.

Eliruthy...I know where you're coming from...especially the weight gain.  Just remember that you are in control of what you put into your mouth.  I started back Sunday and have already lost 7 pounds...I feel great and know that I am taking charge of my health. You have all the tools to succeed such as Doug's book and this website...Just Do It!

You are so right jetfan.  I donate through the church that I attend.  When I cleaned out my cubbard and started FTS I had a huge bag of soups and beans and mac and cheese...Every month they chose an item to stock for the food pantry...this month it was canned fruit next month is peanut butter.  I like to buy tolietries as well such as toliet paper and deodorant and shampoo.  Also it would be nice for us all to remember to put some money in the salvation army kettle when you pass by...every little bit helps.
I wish everyone a Happy FTS Thanksgiving and may God Bless Doug and Umpa for such a great website :)

I got on the scale this morning and was thrilled to see that I lost 2 more pounds on my second day.  Today I was not as hungry...detox will be a piece of cake ( lo carb cake).  This is what I ate today:  I had squash casserole from the freezer and a can of chicken vienna sausage...7 carbs.  I ate a boca burger with a slice of deli cheese wrapped in a la tortilla with mustard and a dill pickle slice...5 carbs.  I also had a huge hamburger steak seasoned with worchestershire sauce and Mrs. Dash steak seasoning with a slice of deli cheese melted on top...0 carbs.  To drink today I had a crystal lite tea with lemon, a cup of decaf coffee...1 carb and plenty of water.  I am just so excited to see that the fat is melting away.  If I lose again in the morning I will be amazed.

Thank you Doug...Thanksgiving is really about family and spending time with them.  So many of us get caught up in the menu and focus on the food that we forget to count our blessings.  I really just want to see my family all together and enjoy their company.  I can already feel the effects of detox...the sugar fog has been lifted...and I feel better already...I have lost another 2 pounds on my second day.  I have a smaller size pair of jeans that I want to fit in by Christmas.  I know that I can do it... ;D

I got on the scale this morning and was happy to see that I lost 5 pounds my first day.  For breakfast this morning I ate turkey sausage and eggs scrambled together...5 carbs, I drank a Sams diet caffeine free soda.  I drank a cup of coffee that was decaf...1 carb.  For lunch I ate a boca burger wrapped in a la tortilla with mustard and deli cheese and a dill pickle slice...5 carbs.  For a snack I had some squash casserole I found in the freezer...I guess that was around 6 carbs.  For supper I ate sirloin steak that was grilled...0 carbs.  I drank a cup of sugar cookie sleigh ride tea sweetened with FTS zero.  I also ate 2 pieces of Werthers sugar-free candy.  I drink lots of water.  I haven't been as hungry today.  After the loss I had this morning I will be suprised if I lose in the morning...can't wait to see.

I had one for lunch wrapped in a la tortilla with mustard a slice of deli cheese and a dill pickle slice.  It was only one carb for the veggie burger....a total 5 carb meal.  It is easy to eat low carb and neglect vegetables...boca burgers help sneek in a veggie.

I am delighted to report that I have lost 5 pounds my first day.  It is really exciting!
Thanksgiving will be like always where I live with all my family.  I am focused on losing and really have an appetite mostly for the turkey and ham.  I will be making deviled eggs and creamed potatoes.  Since I am the only one doing low carb...the rest are on Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig I have decided to buy some sugar free candy and have that with a cup of coffee after the meal.  I will bake something for Christmas though, we spend Christmas Eve at my oldest sisters house.  I might lose 20 pounds before New Years Day.  Off to have my morning coffee.  I hope everyone has a great FTS day :)

I got up early this morning and made a big omlette with two eggs, three slices of ham and a half a cup each of red bell pepper and onion.  I also put a slice of Kraft deli cheese and a sprinkle of parmesan on it.  That took up 10 carbs.  I also drank a Sams Choice caffeine free diet soda.  For lunch I had philly steak on a la tortilla with some sprinkle cheese and a cup of decaf coffee.  This was 5 carbs. For a snack I ate a tin of kippers and for supper I ate a can of Chicken Vienna sausage and a cup of pomegranate green tea sweetened with FTS zero.  15 carbs for the day and I have also been drinking alot of water.  I have been very hungry today.  I do admit that it feel great to be taking control of my health for a change instead of being a sugar fiend.  I am eager to get on the scale in the morning and see the results.

Thank you both for the kind wishes.  I have been very hungry today.  Despite that I have done great.  I found a can of Chicken Vienna Sausage and that really filled me up.  I plan on going to the market tomorrow to buy some FTS friendly foods.  I guess it is kind of strange to be going through detox the week of Thanksgiving...I am not going to cave into the pies and sugar laden desserts.  Might even make some chocolate donuts from the bakery book.  I know that if I can survive the holidays it will only be easier for me to start out the new year on track.  I am not going to give up on myself this time...I deserve so much better than to do that.  It is so nice to know that the FTS family is always there when you need them.  Something to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

It is going to be nice to go through the holidays and lose instead of gain.  I got on the scale and it read 305 this morning.  I guess I ate more birthday cake than I thought.  I stayed up all night reading Fat TO Skinny again so I am ready to go today.  All I need to do is reset my ticker and follow the rules in the book.   I am glad that you are getting rededicated morgan.  It is so nice to know that I am not alone in this.  I am determined to meet my weight loss goals in the coming year.  I have put it off for far too long.  Let's get Skinny!
