General Questions / Re: Mayo Question

I have always used Duke's Mayo because there is no sugar or carbs and none in the label.  Love the flavor.

General Questions / Re: Salad Dressing
« on: June 03, 2010, 10:54:31 PM »
I was at the store today reading all the dressing labels and got thoroughly frustrated because of the sugar/carb content. lol  I finally found one!  I like to put it on and shake it too so it coats everything. lol  I thought I was the only one.

Newman's Own Olive Oil & Vinegar

1 g carb/sugar from the red wine and/or garlic.

I'll have to check into the Ken's brand of Cesar and the Green Goddess.

Hi,

I saw the SF Hershey syrup but it had splenda in it and I thought you said splenda was a no no.  Isn't splenda "sucralose"?

Trying to figure out which sugars are ok and which not.  I know the alcohols are alright, right?

Oh and what low carb ice cream do you eat that is ok?

General Questions / Re: Using Protein Shakes
« on: June 03, 2010, 10:37:52 PM »
I am curious about protein powders, too.  I am also using a whey protein powder to make sure I have enough energy as I get hypoglycemic at work and during/after a workout. I do 30 min of rebounding (trampoline with strength bands) a couple times a week.

I add 1 scoop to 8oz of Almond milk.

2g sugar (sucralose)
4g total carbs
.5 fiber
20g protein

General Questions / Sugar Free Gum/Ice Breaker Mints?
« on: June 03, 2010, 10:29:19 PM »
I have some Trident sugar free gum and Ice Breaker mints.  Obviously it has alcohols and sugar substitutes.  Is it allowed as long as I count the carbs in my totals?  The both say about <5 cal. per piece.

It says 1 gram of sugar alcohol for the Trident.

The mints say <1g of sugar alcohol.

Thanks for your help!

Weight Loss Stalled! WHY? / Re: Milk in Tea, cream in coffee

You might be happy to know that Land O Lakes makes a heavy whipping cream in the can and it says sugar free on the label.  I found it at Wal-mart.  I'm not sure where you live but it gives another option as it doesn't have any carbs.

This is a great tool to get a visual....yuck!  I like the other videos that you did on the interviews which seemed more detailed.  Great way to get your point across.
