I've improved! Have to do a good stretch with deep breathing technique when I stand from a sitting to prevent shooting pain. It's amazing how a deep breathing technique got me through the pain when I first did this, otherwise I would have been stuck halfway between the car door and driveway.
Still need to walk at slow-med pace to prevent sudden pain. My back was in knots but lots of intermittent bed rest and stretches have relieved most of it.

Have a load in the washer. Going to cook up an entire package of nitrate-free turkey bacon from the food bank. One thing I've learned is that some stuff has to cut up & froze or cooked right away or it won't last.

There was no swelling, so I used heat and it worked!

There ya go, Susie! :) :) :) :)

I don't know how many times I've used hot packs for overworked or strained muscles.
But when there's swelling, ice packs are the way to go.

I made myself take the stairs up and down to exercise my hip flexors. This was at my eye appointment-

Will try to roller skate next Sunday. This Thursday is a Jobs Daughter's regular meeting, Mary & I go to Leadership Camp this weekend and I will be bringing sugar free, low carb and wheat free replacement items for the meals. They will have Cereal bars for breakfast one day, so I will use a $1 off coupon at Walmart & get the Atkins Cranberry nut meal bar to replace that.
Called the camp director and she will email me the menu.

You're a very resourceful woman Susie and a good idea regarding getting a copy of the menu. I'm presuming your going to try to match up the food with low carb items if need be.

PS - my exercise for yesterday was waving a stick over my head and going up a ladder and down the ladder, up, down, etc.  Can you guess what I was doing?  Painting 9' and 8' ceiling.  Thank goodness for extendable rollers, coz at 5'2" it was still an effort.  Muscles in shoulders and thighs bit tight today.

Mary is out getting orders for enchiladas. She'd rather sell these than cookies or candy. Mary & I are both going to help make them too. It's a huge production with girls & parents working hard making hundreds of enchiladas. She has 2 days left to sell, so she needs to get busy, lol. She sold $249 worth so far. That's $125 towards her costs. I already put down a $50 deposit, so she needs to earn $125 more.
My hip is so much better, not completely healed but good enough to go roller skating this coming Sunday.
That will be the day we come home from Jobs Daughters Leadership Camp.
Here's the camp menu & how we will adjust to it-

Breakfast:
pancakes, bacon, cereal bar, oatmeal, bananas

(We will bring flax meal pancakes, Atkins granola bar and eat the bacon)

Lunch:
pizza & simple salad

(We will bring homemade low carb pizzas and eat side salad)

Dinner:
Chicken enchiladas, rice, broccoli medley, salad bar

(We will eat inside of enchilada, broccoli medley & salad bar)

Breakfast:
scrambled eggs, potatoes, fruit, & cereal bar

(We will bring Atkins granola bar,  eat eggs and  fruit)
