General Discussion / Here I go again

Hi!  I'm new here ...again.  I was doing so good months ago and got away from it.  I'm not sure why and I'm not going to worry about that anymore.  I'm starting over again.  I have gained but only 4 pounds.  I know from experience that they will be gone in no time.  I know this way of eating is the best for me.  I lost weight and I felt healthier.  I was healthier and had more energy.  I sure do miss that feeling.  I won't say wish me luck because I already know luck has nothing to do with it.  I only need to follow the FTS books and I'll get there.  I only hope that I don't fail again.  Cathy

Dinner Recipes / Imitation crab cakes

Hello,  My daughter is coming to visit.  I want to make crab cakes because she loves them.  But she is allergic to shellfish.  I'm going to use shredded zucchini as a substitute for the crab.  Now my recipe calls for 3/4 cup of fine dry breadcrumbs.  Would you use the pork rinds or the almond flour?  Or something else?  Also, would it be equal amounts?  I think it should work.  Thank you, Cathy

Ask Umpa / Flaxseed flour

Hi.  I have a question.  You mentioned in another post flaxseed flour.  I'm hoping to find it tomorrow while I'm running for the day.  Can flaxseed flour be subsituted for the regular flour I used to use?  Same equal parts?  I can't use soy. 

General Questions / Belly aches

I'm really trying hard.  I packed celery and carrot sticks for my afternoon snack.  I just realized that I need to do more celery and less carrots, I was do even amount of both.  But I find having a salad at lunch and then my snack, I'm getting a terrible belly ache by the time I get home.  This has been every day this week.  Will this go away or should I change my menu?
