I can't wait to get to Disney's waterparks. In the past, there'd be no way you'd catch me running around someplace like that.

Way to go, Alex!  :)

This is SO cool Alex!  I have wished SO many times that I could have known about FTS when our Maddy was little.  She's 19 now.  Over the years, we have gone to so many water parks and amusement parks.  I would usually find a shade and sit....while she and my husband lived it up.  They would beg me to join in, but I was just too embarassed to let myself go and have fun.  I have decided that I am NOT looking back....only forward.  When I get this weight off, I want to head back down to Orlando and do it up RIGHT next time!  :)  ......and go visit Sherripie while I am there too!!

Loosing the weight is like taking a big metal ball and chain off your leg. I had no idea what a prisoner I was to it until it was gone. Thank god for FTS!

Congrats Alex on the waterslide!!

I am so happy for you Alex! :) :) :) :)
I understand how you feel.

Although many might not admit it, many overweight men feel EXACTLY the same way you girls do.

There were SOOOOO MANY times at parks and pools that I would feel so very self-conscious about how I looked shirtless and/or in swim trunks.

I remember thinking many times:
"The whole world sees my FAT and thinks I look awful.
What a fatso!... What a pig!
Why doesn't he just lose that ugly FAT?".

I do realize that most folks could care less about other's appearance.
And the ones that do, aren't worth a second thought anyway.
But self-image is a POWERFUL thing.

I'm not yet quite confident enough to go shirtless in public... But I'm getting closer. ;)
