Please give me your suggestions for a "dessert"...
« on: June 20, 2010, 10:43:42 PM »
I started this "new way of life" almost 3 weeks ago.
I have been eating sugar free jello or strawberries, topped with reddiwhip every night.
I would like some other ideas for something different.
I need to mix things up a bit.
Thanks!

The Russell Stover Sugar Free candy:  3 Mint Patties (bite size) for 1 carb
3 pieces of Coconut (Like a Mounds candy bar but bite size) for 1 carb
Or add some almonds-make an Almond Joy for yourself  28 almonds 2 carbs
1 piece of Pecan Delight for 1 carb
This has helped me tremendously.  I am now in week 3 and just made it through a family birthday party without the ice cream and cake -- major victory for me!  The candy is more satisfying right now and takes care of my sweet tooth more than any other dessert.  I am eating healthy foods through the day AND NOT JUST CANDY !!!  :)   :)

My favorite is heavy whipping cream 1/2 cup with a little sugar free koolaid or crystal lite strawberry whipped it's 0g carbs and way filling. Yum!
And if I claim to be a wise man. It surely means that I don't know... Kansas

My family highly recommends the keylime cheesecake you can find in the recipe section of this discussion board! YUMMY!
If you want something easy, look up the recipe for mmicrowave mug cakes and then change it up to suit your taste.
