Hi Susie, here is the recipe I've been using.  With the CarbSmart added it's can be a meal!

Choco-Mocha Freeze

2 TBSP coffee mate sugar free vanilla caramel  2 carbs
1 TBSP Sugar free chocolate syrup  <1 net carb
1 tsp instant coffee powder/crystals
˝ tsp vanilla extract or any SF no carb flavoring

Place in blender and add cold water to make 1 cup

Add a no carb sweetener to taste, about ˝ tsp

Place crushed or shaved ice in blender and blend until smooth.

I sometimes add a scoop of Carbsmart zero carb protein powder (I have chocolate) to give me extra protein… this helps keep the munchies away. When I use this product I usually add a few drops of peppermint extract... that takes away the egg white taste.

Total carbs are less than 2.5

You could also experiment with Unsweetened Almond milk and Walden Farms zero carb flavorings but I can find the Coffee Mate easier.  The brand of choc syrup I use is Hershey’s.  Shaved ice gives the freeze a much smoother texture. Right now I am using a hand grind shaver for making snow cones.  About 2 cups because it melts some while blending with the other ingredients. Soon I will be getting  a Margaritaville Frozen concoction maker the shaves the ice then mixes the smoothie.
I thought about putting this freeze mixture into popsicle molds but it does separate so you have to  stir it a bit as you drink it.  Very filling.

Hey Diane!  Thanks for sharing the recipes!  I have thought about using the Almond Breeze Unsweetened milk and use Hershey's sugar free syrup to make a fudge popsicle.  I may try this soon.  Thanks and have a great day!

I just made one of these with the Chocolate flavored CarbSmart protein powder.  Unfortunately I wasn't watching what I was doing and poured WAY TOO MUCH pepermint extract into the mix... I have too much Scot blood in me to throw it away.  At least it's clearing my sinuses!!

Last night I made a 'slurppy' using shaved ice, a diet Mt. Dew, 2 capfuls of zero carb, zero cal. lime juice, a little extra Xylitol.  Believe it or not it had a bit of a pineapple flavor. I'm just experimenting and I may try that one again with a little pineapple extract in it and maybe a little coconut milk.

Today I had another slurppy [or Slushy]... ohhhh soooo gooood! Again, I used a diet Mt. Dew in a blender and added pineapple extract, 1 teaspoon Xylitol, Torani's SF coconut syrup and shaved ice.  Blend it all together and wah la... heaven.
I'm still playing with ingredients but this one turned out great!  Next time I may try a little coconut milk or whipping cream to the combo.

Hi Bevxx,
There's several different varieties. The original (which comes in SF) is kind of a sweet citrus taste. It's yellow almost the color of radiator fluid!

American Soda Company in Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire sells it. It's kind of expensive 1.27 per can or 6.97 for a 6-pack. You may want to check their website.  Probably still costs less than having it shipped from the US.

Oh great! It's definitely my favorite next to Diet Pepsi. It has more caffeine than most of the popular American soft drinks so be ready  ;D

Let us know how you like it!!
