Simply The BEST way to serve Avocado

Ingredients

1/2 large Florida Avocado sliced
sour cream
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons lime juice

Directions

Coat the fruit well with lime then salt and pepper well, serve with cider vinegar sour cream! YUMMY!

Very nice recipe, I will surely try it.
I personally just love avocado, the creamy texture is just super.

Every morning I make an Avocado smoothie. I thought I should share my recipe here:

Ingredients -
1 Avocado
1 Apple
1 Banana
1 tsp Chia Seeds
1 tsp Honey (instead of sugar for obvious reason - weight watching)
1 cup unsweetened milk (skimmed milk)

Method -
Blend avocado, apple, banana along with milk in a blender. Now pour it in a glass and mix honey in it. Now sprinkle with chia seeds and drink.

Believe me it just tastes amazing and also, it gives me instant energy.

I hope people here try it and enjoy it  :D

Re: Eat Fats, Cut Carbs to Reclaim Your Skinny Self:
I'm eating healthy fats. Seen research online that butter is healthy too, as well as extra virgin coconut & extra virgin olive oils.
I'm drinking bulletproof coffee in morning with pure Stevia to sweeten.

I am also eating fats including butter and olive oil but it cannot suit my body. It shows some side effects like an upset stomach.

Hi, EdwardDailey!

If you find you cannot tolerate fats well, you may want to talk to your doctor. For example, conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) can cause issues with processing fats. Medication can often help.

I hope you find a treatment that will help you.

Regards,
Tony

Does the recipe for Hearty Country Loaf actually call for both flaxseed AND flaxseed flour? My recipe is several years old. Thanks in advance!

Tony Thank you so much for your response to my questions.  I thought for a bit that I may be on my own with no forum support but then you came to my rescue  :-*  I tried E mailing Doug and his two responses came back with no script.  I'm no computer wiz and so I'm not sure why there was no script, perhaps it has something to do with spam, but again I'm rather computer illiterate .  Anyway I'm really happy to have heard from you so thank you again.

Of, course!... You're more than welcome! :)

Don't know about your email problem. You could try sending him a message thru the forum.

Just look near the top of the page for "My Messages",
hover your mouse over it and select "Send a Message",
type in "Doug Varrieur", then compose and send your message.

Sometimes Doug gets quite busy, so be patient for a response. It may take some time.

Take Care! :)

Hi, BellaNoela!  :)

As I'm here answering another question you posted, I'll answer here for Morgan.

The forum has become very quiet. However, Doug keeps it active so that folks like you can refer to the our many FTS (Fat to Skinny) recipes and other support. I try to check in at least every few days to help folks like you.

Cream (especially heavy whipping) is very low carb. I've even found it with zero net carbs. Cream cheese is also very low carb and permissible. However, ALWAYS check nutrition labels on foods for carb counts. They are NOT all the same across all brands and will even sometimes change for a given brand.

If you have any other questions, please let us know! :) :) :)

Hello, BellaNoela!  :)

I use cream cheese everyday on a GG bran cracker that I eat each morning with my vitamin and other supplements. I also use heavy cream in many things. Both items are FTS (FAT to Skinny) friendly. Both are very low (or no) carb.

Remember, it's the carb count that matters most. You have 20 net carb gram limit per day to "spend" on whatever food you like. I suggest adding greens to your menu each day for added fiber and other nutrients. Be sure to check carb counts on those, too.

Be sure to ALWAYS check labels for carb counts BEFORE buying any food.
