Girly Girl Talk / Smaller Size
« on: April 17, 2011, 06:49:30 PM »
I went shopping yesterday and bought a new dress for my nephews wedding this August.  The dress I tried on was a 22, but the dress I bought was a size twenty.  I am certain that I will be down a size by then.  I have started exercising outdoors because the weather has been so nice.  I can't wait to get in that dress,  I plan on ordering a high powered girdle to go with it.

Product Reviews / Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds
« on: April 09, 2011, 03:54:01 PM »
I bought Emerald Cocoa Roast Almonds on my last trip to Walmart.  I love them, they have a dark Chocolate flavor.
You must be mindful of the portion size because they have 3g of carbs and 1g of sugar for 1/4 of a cup.  I will definately
buy them again.

General Discussion / Temptations
« on: April 08, 2011, 06:22:52 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has passed up any temptations lately.  Today I passed up chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream.  I went to the kitchen and fixed me a bowl of lime SF jello instead with rediwhip on top.  I am excited to see if the scale goes down in the morning.

Sides and Snacks / Cheesy Spinach
« on: April 07, 2011, 02:53:32 PM »
                  Cheesy Spinach

10-oz. package of frozen spinach or bag of fresh
2 T. water
2 wedges Laughing Cow brand lite garlic herb or French onion cheese

Place frozen spinach in microwaveable bowl with water. Microwave spinach on high setting for 8 minutes, stirring once.
Remove from microwave and add cheexe.  Stir until cheese melts.
If fresh spinach place in a large skillet with water and cook over medium heat until done. Add cheese and stir until it melts.

This is a great way to get in much needed fiber.  I prefer the fresh spinach, which only has 5 carbs for the whole recipe.
If you enjoy cheesy broccoli you should like this recipe.

Click Here To Share Your Success Story / Finally, a ticker
« on: January 30, 2011, 09:04:39 PM »
Thanks to Doug's directions I was able to make my own ticker.  I am determined to lose the weight this year and with FTS I know that I can do it.  I have only lost 35 pounds but plan on losing more and faster.  To be honest I have an addiction to sugar free Reeses peanut butter cups and have been eating them every day.  That has to change.  I also have not been exercising.  As of tomorrow that will change.  I will keep my ticker updated regularly to hold myself accountable.  A big thank you to Doug and Umpa and the forum family.  I could have easily gained 35 pounds over the holidays instead of losing.  I now know that I can lose all of the weight and be healthy.  I encourage everyone that hasn't to get a ticker and start holding themselves accountable for their weight loss.  Let's all make this a successful weight loss year!

Lunch Recipes / Shrimp Quesadilla
« on: September 26, 2010, 02:53:49 PM »
This is a quick and easy meal that I enjoy.  First you will need a La Tortilla, I place it on a paper towel and sprinkle it generously with shredded Mexican Cheese.  I buy bags of frozen Shrimp with the tail on at Walmart for 5$ a bag.  Take out 13 shrimp (medium to large) place on a plate and microwave for 2 minutes.  Take out of microwave and remove the tails and rinse.  Arrange them together on the plate and sprinkle with Mrs.Dash Chicken Grillin seasoning, then spray with Butter Pam and microwave for another minute.  Lastly place tortilla with cheese on paper towel in Microwave for 45 seconds and take out and place shrimp on top and roll up and eat.  It is delicious! Shrimp Quesadilla.

Product Reviews / Vienna Sausage
« on: September 25, 2010, 07:07:04 PM »
I found that Armour chicken Vienna Sausage has 0 carbs.  It is great to take along when you are on the go.  I bought mine at Food Lion, they were even on sale.  They have a few different kinds that also have low carbs.  I ate some with slaw today and imagined that I was eating a hotdog.
