General Discussion / Loosing slowly
« on: February 14, 2011, 05:50:06 PM »
I know there are many variables to consider when it comes to  how fast or slow the weight comes off .  I'm happy that since I started FTS I have had a gradual loss with no regains.  I can't be as active as I would like since I'm still  recuperating  from a fractured Tibia even though I'm walking now and back to work part time the Docs orders are 4-6 hours on my feet without the aid of the crutches so I can rationalize the fact  I'm not burning as many  calories as I normally would....Trying to be patient and positive but these twinges of discouragement sneak in on loosing slowly

General Discussion / The best ham salad
« on: February 08, 2011, 08:55:42 PM »
I purchased a spiral ham and was thinking of different ways to use it. One thing I did was put a bunch of it on the grill ,then put it in the food processor with Mayo...quick and simple and  the flavor from grilling made the BEST ham salad ! great to spread on GG crisps or roll in a tortilla ;)

General Discussion / Back to work & the snack room
« on: February 06, 2011, 01:28:49 PM »
I limped back to work after 5 months recuperation from a fractured Tibia and right back to all the homemade goodies, chips, dips, candies, etc. everyone brings in on a daily basis to the snack/coffee room !  Going back to work AFTER starting FTS has saved me !!!  I look at all those items and I could care less !!  I have no cravings for them and they don't interest me.  Honestly that feeling to me is so foreign as opposed to how I was before starting FTS and seeing all those things spread out before me I craved it all.  Although I am  down only 14lbs so far since before my accident I did not gain any weight being in a wheel chair all those months and some coworkers actually  noticed the bit of weight loss and commented on it, asking how I did it.  I was more than pleased to tell them. Now that I'm back, my contributions to the snack table will be something I can eat and perhaps others will enjoy having a healthy choice.

Reading from the package of 8oz Philadelphia 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese...Total carbs <1g per serving  Sugars <1g per serving  and there are 8 servings per pkg.  So how many carbs are in the the entire package ? P.S. I'm not in Canada  :)
